Dear LCS Members

WOW!  What a performance….thank you to everyone….. that was very special and I could feel we all put absolutely everything in to making the performance sound superb and matched the awesome orchestra.  I hope you enjoyed some good comments from friends and family as I did.

A sell out performance, excellent comments, standing ovation from those in the gallery and we raised over £1500 for Ukraine in the retiring collection.  It doesn’t get much better than that….I look forward to reading our review.

Of course, events like this don’t just happen without many people putting in a great deal of effort so a big thank you to:-

Phil….  he brought us to a peak at exactly the right time despite covid absences etc etc…what a music director and conductor!

Timothy…..assisted through every rehearsal…an accompanist extraordinaire!

Karen….too many jobs to mention as well as all the finances etc

Joy Elphinstone…. for kindly putting up overnight our 2 soloists

Ken Rusling and Mike Thomas….. for setting up and giving out the drinks, then washing all the glasses!

Ken Hay and Celia (Rebecca’s friend) for their magnificent efforts in ushering/ticket collection and receiving Ukraine donations

Maureen Askin ….programme

Everyone who answered my plea for chair movers…they were cleared in minutes

I don’t know about you but I cannot not stop the music in my head….. I must have sung right through the Armed Man 6 times last night and today!

So what next…

Come and sing at the Hinton Music Festival…held at the Retreat, Sunday, July 3rd – you will need Rutter’s Anthems and the Magnificat from yesterday evening

Rehearsals begin next term Wednesday, September 7thfor Vivaldi’s Gloria for Christmas.

Meantime have a good summer and kindest regards

Pat
